iBeacon is Apple’s implementation of Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) wireless technology, to create a different way of determining a smartphone’s location especially in indoor spaces like malls with blocked cell signals.

From getting your ticket out as you arrive at the boarding gate to providing information about a product while window-shopping, iBeacon technology opens a new world of possibilities for location awareness, and countless opportunities for interactivity between smartphones and beacons – which are generally small battery-friendly Bluetooth transmitters.

Presented by technical author, software developer and teacher Adrian Kosmaczewski to technical and non-technical audiences in Europe, this presentation includes a practical understanding of the technology as well as live demos of how to use iBeacons and a showcase of different options available in the market today.

Come join us on Tuesday to learn more about iBeacons such as how to create iBeacon apps, or even make your own beacon!

Attendance is FREE but seats are limited so please fill out the form below to RSVP.
