Not only was this a milestone for us with regard to theme but the occasion also provided us with the opportunity to host our first panel discussion exploring social media in a post-PC era. Our panel consisted of local social media strategists and thought leaders who engaged one another and the crowd, lending to a highly interactive group conversation. The panel comprised of Sifiso Mazibuko from Habari Media (@SifisoMaz), Alma Maxwell from Outsourced Communications (@AlmaMaxwell), Fred Felton from Falcons Cove (@fredfelton), Arthur Charles Van Wyk from Fluence New Marketing (@ArthurFicial), Richard McLennan from Mass Discounters (@richmclennan) & Mike Saunders from Digitlab (@mikeasaunders) as well as our very own Social Media and Content Manager, Nazareen Ebrahim (@NazareenE), who convened the event.

It was a night of learning, engagement, debate (but sadly devoid of any cat fights) and an all-round emphasis on community. With the knowledge that #SiliconBeach is growing from strength to strength, one can only be inspired by the endless possibilities upon us in a post-PC era.
